In addition to serving families through estate planning, I am proud to serve as General Counsel for Spartan Medical, Inc.®
Founded in 2008 by former Air Force Intelligence Officer Vincent Proffitt, Spartan Medical is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) recognized as a top-priority vendor for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Spartan provides an extensive portfolio of advanced medical devices and innovative solutions to VA medical centers, DoD medical facilities, civilian hospitals, and ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) across the country.
Over the past 15 years, Spartan has been awarded more than 700 federal government contracts, including long-term agreements at over 30 major military treatment facilities, with a flawless record of performance. The company’s mission goes beyond distribution: Spartan is a medical solutions partner, leading large-scale medical operations, rapid-response programs, and initiatives that address pressing challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic and the growing mental health crisis among veterans and students.
As General Counsel, I work directly with Spartan’s President, Vincent Proffitt, and the Executive Team, advising on legal and strategic matters across all aspects of the company’s operations, including:
My role at Spartan allows me to operate at the intersection of law, business, and public service — ensuring that a mission-driven company with a military pursuit of excellence can continue delivering cutting-edge solutions for veterans, patients, and healthcare providers nationwide. The same skills I use to guide a multimillion-dollar company — strategic foresight, risk management, and attention to detail — are the very skills I bring to estate planning, helping families protect what matters most and preserve their legacies with confidence.
